For the first time ever Walt Disney World is peeling back the curtain on training and operations for its 80,000 cast members.Disney University serves as the primary orientation facility where every cast member begins employment.Incoming workers start in the university’s Traditions room, surrounded by Disney history, where they receive instruction on company culture and core values before advancing to job-specific training.Job-specific instruction at Disney University covers a wide range of operational roles across the resort.Housekeepers receive training to prepare beds according to specific Disney standards, while concierge staff participate in hands-on practice scenarios. The resort supports its cast members through a specialized costuming operation, which serves as the largest functional wardrobe in the world.
