Solita Tacos Margaritas has closed its downtown Orlando restaurant at 222 S. Orange Avenue after nearly four years in business. The restaurant, located on the ground floor of The Exchange on Orange building at Church Street, closed Friday, October 23. Solita opened in December 2022 in the former Wahlburgers space, bringing Baja-inspired tacos, wood-grilled meats, margaritas, and weekend brunch to downtown. The closure comes just one day after another Solita restaurant abruptly shut down in Santa Clarita, California. According to local news outlet KHTS, that location closed during lunch service on October 22 and was emptied by the following morning. Both locations are part of Xperience Restaurant Group, which also operates El Torito and Chevys Fresh Mex. Neither closure has been publicly explained. Solita s website now lists only its Huntington Beach, California, location, and there s no word yet on what could take over the downtown Orlando space.
