Deputies: Man fatally stabbed in southwest DeLand, investigation underway

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said deputies are investigating a deadly stabbing in the southwest DeLand area on Thursday night.The sheriff’s office said deputies responded around 8:34 p.m.
to the area of West Beresford Road and South High Street, off State Road 15A.Deputies said an adult man was stabbed by an unknown suspect.Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing and canvassing the area for evidence.No suspect is in custody at this time.The sheriff’s office said additional updates will be released as they become available.
