Strong winds, rough surf and rising tides are creating dangerous conditions along Central Florida’s Atlantic coast, prompting beach closures as officials warn of potential coastal flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory, high surf advisory, and coastal flood warning for parts of the coast as waves reach between 7 and 12 feet.In Satellite Beach, officials have closed all beach crossovers due to significant erosion, making it unsafe to access the shoreline.“I’ve never seen the beach actually close ever, in 4 and a half years,” said surfer Anna Rycenga.Strong winds have also made conditions difficult along the shoreline.“The wind is picking up like crazy,” surfer Callum Horgan said.Despite the warnings, some surfers are still heading into the water to ride the large waves.“It’s not really going to stop me, never has, never will,” Horgan said.In Volusia County, the rough surf also threatens progress made in restoring beaches damaged by previous erosion. The greatest
