Caleb Kazeck shines amid Spuds' star power in win over Edina

MOORHEAD — David Mack, Zak Walker and Drew Kessel have been the headliners of Moorhead s receiving corps this season. But behind the Spuds trio of senior Division I commits at the wideout position, sophomore Caleb Kazeck has steadily worked his way into a larger role over the past few weeks. (Kazeck) is a young wide receiver who s made some big plays for us, Moorhead head coach Kevin Feeney said at practice earlier this week. The football just kind of finds the guys who work really hard. Kazeck s work ethic showed out on Friday, with three receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown while helping top-ranked Moorhead to a 42-21 victory over Edina in Minnesota Class 6A football at Jim Gotta Stadium. (Spuds quarterback Jett Feeney) was throwing me some good balls and they have a good plan with the concepts and routes, Kazeck said. So it just left me open and Jett got it to me.
