Amazon has suspended operations with cargo carrier 21 Air after one of its planes crashed at Miami International Airport on Sept. 6, killing five people.The suspension halts 21 Air flights that regularly move through Orlando International Airport, where more than 1,000 flights operate daily. Flight records show 21 Air continued to operate Boeing 767 cargo flights from Miami to Orlando and onward to Cincinnati on Sept. 8, Sept. 9, and Sept. 10. Amazon stated that it does not expect the operational pause to significantly impact customers.Patrick Rye, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection canine enforcement officer at Miami International Airport, described the scene of the crash. “The aircraft was on fire, 50, 50-60 foot flames,” Rye said. “It looked like a LEGO set, a LEGO set that had blown up.”The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
